A Little About Cleo

Hi everyone,

My name is Ellé, and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart but a hopeful spirit.

This is my sweet girl Cleo!
She is a special dog who has a real zest for life, loves people and despite being almost entirely deaf, loves her agility! See pics below

Cleo is more than just a pet, she is family.
Her wonderful nature and silly antics have brought irreplaceable joy to our life, and now she needs our help 🙏

Cleo has been battling ear infections for some time now. Recently, her condition has worsened. Her eardrum in the right ear has ruptured and inner ear infection has caused bone & tissue damage. The vet is concerned about meningitis as the infection doesn't seem to go away with antibiotics, so the whole ear canal must be removed.
Hopefully she just needs one more critical ear surgery to restore her health and quality of life.

Despite having pet insurance, the company has refused to cover the costs, citing her previous ear infections as pre-existing conditions.

The first surgery cost just shy of £3500, which we managed to cover with our savings.
However, the second surgery is estimated to be £5000.

My partner and I are getting married in September and have planned a honeymoon to Lanzarote that same month.
The timing of everything has made the financial burden even heavier and harder to manage.

While I am determined to provide Cleo with the best care possible, I simply cannot afford this amount on my own.
