    Story

Due to Dee’s original diagnosis the next best line of treatment for her isn’t covered on the NHS. Doctors have expressed their frustrations too as she does have incurable stage 4 breast cancer… but only just. They have managed to treat every part of the breast with chemo, a mastectomy and radiotherapy… now all that’s left is the bit of cancer in the T6 vertebra which is what has tipped her into stage 4 (incurable). But with a type of radiotherapy called SABR (which is offered on the NHS to primary cancer patients) I KNOW… will cost her just short of £11,000, looks like it could work. After long talks with the oncologists they have said that they are so hopeful that this treatment would allow her to live with the cancer for a considerable time and they would suggest having that treatment if she is able to raise the funds.

What an emotional couple of years its been for Harrogate Railway Ladies!

A year ago we announced our 1st ever Ladies Reserves Team & we also welcomed back Dee Swales, a true Railway Ladies talented original.

Soon after Dee sadly announced her diagnosis of the awful disease that is Cancer.

Dee is fighting this with a smile & I am so pleased to say her fight is going well, but still a way to go. This is with the wonderful support of Cancer Research & Macmillan!

Therefore Harrogate Railway Ladies are proud to announce our 1st ever Harrogate Railway “Ladies Day” Sunday 6th August. Both Railway Ladies teams in action, raffles, BBQ’s & much more all in an fundraising effort for Cancer Research & Macmillan as a thankyou for all their hard work.

The day will be sponsored by Swales Construction, but more sponsorship opportunities are available with all proceeds going to these wonderful charities.

Please come down to support a family club growing in Ladies football & of course the charities. Free entry, but we will of course be collecting so bring plenty of change 😉.

Any questions or should you wish to donate anything please get intouch here, or text Rich on 07834022129
