So it's not long now until we wish our dear friend Hannah Bon voyage on her exciting adventures in New Zealand. Hannah and I have been best friends for 15 years now and as much as I love her to pieces, I did have to get a bit strict with her during the 'what to pack' sessions recently. I turned up for what I thought was THE packing session and about 20 minutes in, I realised I had a challenge on my hands. Now we all know Hannah is a fashionista and loves to dress to impress for every occasion. She always looks great and clothes and shoes (and shopping) is a big part of her. I endured a further four packing sessions and we had finally got the shoe pile down to 26 pairs. (Yes, I was sweating...and swearing actually). I mean, I'm not the most trendy person it has to be said, but apparently you DO need 6 winter hats, 9 different scarves, 8 bikinis, a rucksack of jewellery and a six foot pile of clothes to go with the entire contents of a shoe factory.

And that's when it dawned on me - that all of Hannah's lovely friends and family might do the unimaginable and buy her a leaving present to add to her shipping container sized 'packing pile'. I suggested that these belongings might not quite fit in her 30kg suitcase and that she may need another but she said that was out of the question as it was a ridiculous amount of money to add one on (and also buy a second suitcase).

So, you wonderful lot, let's do the right thing and put our pennies together to keep Hannah trendy in NZ and get her a second luggage allowance and suitcase. I fear that she may spiral into a deep state of depression if she doesn't have shoes in every hue.
