Story
Greg is taking part in the Special Olympics as part of the Tayside Athletics squad. This is the country’s largest multi-sports event for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Around 2,600 athletes with intellectual disabilities of all ages and abilities will come together from across the country. They will be supported over 4 days of competition by 800 coaches, 750 volunteers, 150 officials and over 5,000 family & friends.
It costs £800 to send each athlete to Sheffield and provide the support they need over during the event. Each athlete pays half of this themselves, the remainder is reached through fundraising by the entire team and their families.
Greg is training every Wednesday night, he is also trying to cut down on his biscuits and beer to get in shape! To support this page he has agreed to walk a mile a day until August - that might not seem a lot - but for those of you who know Greg, when not competing, he is a bit of a sloth!
All proceeds from this page will go to Special Olympics Tayside.

Greg has a genetic fault which has caused a learning disability and ADHD. He can't read or write like others, but he can surf the net for Mickey Mouse and Power Rangers, his brain just works differently from ours. He is amazing and we are very proud of all his achievements.
