Story

UPDATE: Our beloved Grandad Zach went to the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday 28th April. He completed his Bucket List and was surrounded by love. Funds raised for Grandad’s Legacy will be used to rescue other old boys like him, the desperate bullie breeds in UK pounds who have no-one else. We will love you forever Grandad. You were on in a million and we will always keep a space for another staffie in need in your memory.

To date Grandad's Legacy Fund has rescued 22 staffies and ambulls in need. His shining light lives on.

*******************************

Grandad Zach is a 16 year old staffy who is a sanctuary dog at Dogs4Rescue. He has dementia and spondylosis and has started his Bucket List after slowing down and getting more tired. We want to make his last weeks as amazing as they can be and cram in as many of the things he loves as possible. He may have a week, he may have a month. Knowing Grandad he may surprise us all!

Grandad Zach found himself all alone in the world in the pound at the tender age of 14. He was extremely distressed there and due to be put to sleep the next day when Emma Billington saw a last plea photo and offered him rescue space. Grandad will spend a few pounds on his bucket list treats and Dogs4Rescue will use the rest to save more desperate dogs like Grandad who have no-one else to turn to.

Dogs4Rescue often save the most desperate and difficult dogs that no-one else wants. We save their lives and make them feel loved, and wherever possible rehabilitate and find them loving homes. When the time comes to let Grandad go the Rainbow Bridge there can be no bigger tribute to his amazing will for life and character then to rescue more dogs in his memory.
