During March some members of our Young Equestrian group(plus some senior members including myself AND Mandy!) are going to be running a mile a day to raise funds for the incredibly beautiful and brave Gracie. As some of you may remember we named our 2020 foal ‘Gracie’ after this phenomenal young lady. She is an absolute inspiration to us all and is a big part of our Young Equestrian Club and a huge part of our Little Margate Family.

Heartbreakingly Gracie and her family have now found out that she needs to go back to hospital for a third lot of brain surgery on the 8th February. This is for a new tumour that has grown. The surgery will need to be followed by a course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy which has to be done in Bristol. This means the whole family will need to be away from home for a while.

To be honest I have very little words about this all and struggle to understand how life can be so unfair to the loveliest, kindest and most inspirational family. This is why we have all decided to run 31 miles(a mile a day) throughout March. (This does not include the miles we walk doing horses during the day! This will be on top of that!) By the end of March we hope to have covered 682 miles between us.

Half of any money raised is going to go to Gracie to allow her to have some treats when she is feeling rubbish and to hopefully make her smile and know we are all thinking about her, the other half will be going to Gracie’s chosen charity.

I know times are tight right now but please....if you can spare any money at all please do. This family are true heroes and we all love them dearly.
