Gilford Park U10’s vs Himalayan Balsam

On Sunday 1st September from 1pm to 3pm, Gilford Park U10’s are taking part in a sponsored Balsam Bash on the River Petteril. Himalayan Balsam is an extremely invasive, non native plant which grows alarmingly quickly and is taking over riverbanks and having a severe detrimental effect on the native plant life. We are working with Eden Rivers Trust to try and minimise the impact this plant is having on our local ecosystem.

Sponsorship of this event will benefit the local area as well as providing a much needed boost to the team’s funds to be able to provide training equipment, training kits, and help improve the skills of the wonderful children on the team.

Thank You for your support, from all the children, coaching volunteers, and parents. Your contribution makes a BIG difference to the team!
