On Monday 8th January 2024 Frome Town United were devastated to hear of the loss of one of our coaches Sam Oatley.
Sam was a coach predominantly with our Under 8s, although he was known for helping many other age groups within the club.
In the words of his good friend and coach Chris Edwards
"Sam was an indispensable member of our coaching team. Always coming up with new and exciting games for us to play with our group. He enjoyed refereeing our games and provided the team with lots of encouragement and positive energy. He dedicated and volunteered a lot of his time to coaching and he loved being a part of Frome Town United."
The club are grateful to Caroline and all of Sam's family for thinking of Frome Town United for this collection. All money donated will be used by the club to improve football for all of our players and coaches. We will decide the best use of any donations along with Caroline to make sure we honour Sam in the best way possible.
