Following the ongoing war in Gaza since last October, all universities in Gaza have been destroyed and students deprived from their right to continue studying like their peers around the world.

This initiative is led by Dr Imed Romdhani (Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland) in collaboration with international NGOs and local charity. It aims to provide an unlimited courses access from Edx.org. Edx is an online learning platform created by Harvard University and MIT University. It provides verified and credit eligible courses, professional certificates, MicroBachelors and MicroMasters in all disciplines (www.edx.org/learn).

90 dollars are at least needed to provide an unlimited annual membership licence to each learner (student or academic member of staff), without including the cost of the internet connection, the IT equipment and other safety measures required in the context of ongoing and unacceptable war. There are over 80000 students who need our help to complete the lost academic year and gain verified and credit eligible courses to progress in their study, help some of them to apply for studentships abroad or gain scientific and academic knowledge that is no longer available in Gaza.

Edx (2U.com) has kindly accepted to provide a mechanism to revoke access and therefore rotating a single licence among a couple of learners during the year (3 to 4 maximum as some courses need 3 months to be completed and they are not always open and available for enrolment). We intend and we are committed to provide at least 3 months access for each enrolled student from Gaza.

Spending of the collected fund and all outcomes will be shared in a transparent manner with all involved actors and donors. The donation is regulated by the code of conduct and rules for charity work in the UK and Scotland in particular.
