After getting cramps at 30 +4 weeks pregnant i rang the hospital who said I should go in. After days of monitoring the diagnosis was early Labour pre-eclampsia and fetal distress..... the cramping was contractions set of due to high blood pressure caused from pre eclampsia, and every time a contraction came my little boys heart rate dropped from over 160bpm to as little as 60bpm and this was just at 1cm. Knowing this the consultants decided It was best for baby to come so steroids were given and at 31weeks I was prepared for surgery as he was to weak to be born naturally ... in theatre the peadiatritions awaited my baby to be pulled out of my stomach and rushed him of to nicu in which he spent 47 days on slowly being moved room to room in and out of oxygen ... Freddy weighed 2lb 14oz and slowly gained the ozs as he was tube fed for the majority of his stay, all the staff looked after and cared for Freddy and all the other babies to the best of their ability and we apreciate it so much that we would love to raise some money for the ward... afterall I think Freddy drained every penny out of them with the amount of feeding tubes he pulled out.
