Story
Folkestone's wonderful community festival, Music In May, is nearly with us - and the programme is really exciting. There will be even more gigs and venues involved than last year and well over 100 artists will be performing. We have lots of special features: a curated programme of buskers on the four Saturdays and the two Bank Holidays in May, over 20 free music-related workshops; the Choir-oke with nine choirs, including one from Lille; a Symposium on 'Making Money From Music'; and much, much more. We can't wait for the Grand Opening Party at The Quarterhouse with no less than 18 star artists performing, who all happen to live in Folkestone.
The team have done really well to raise an impressive amount of funding from a standing start. However, there is still a shortage of funds - so we are asking lovers of music and Folkestone to help us fill this gap. Everything helps - there is no such thing as a donation that is too small (and certainly not one that is too big!!!).
Please help us to get across the line and make Music In May go with an unforgettable swing!

1 year agoWe're making great progress folks! Thanks so much to all the lovely and generous people who have already donated. Let's keep going to get us over the line. Music in May will be a feast for the ears, and Folkestone Music Town will soon feature on a BBC programme featuring the musician and celebrity chef Andi Oliver. Lots to look forward to!
