Story
Hi,
I am looking to visit four airfields and attached Aviation museums as part of the Pooley Dawn to Dusk Challenge (https://www.pooleys.com/dawn-to-dusk/).
This will be to raise money for a local dancing academy Centrestageglossop (centrestage-dance.com) to go to a competition in Paris this summer.
Many of the youngsters that attend the dance academy are not able to afford the trip to compete in Paris, we hope to raise enough money to send these very talented youngsters for the once in a lifetime opportunity to compete in this international event.
I am planning to fly to four great museums in the UK within the day.
The planned flying Adventure is currently going to be on Sunday April 28th.
The challenging flight will include extensive flight planning and navigation by hand.
The microlight 2 seat aircraft I fly are very basic and don’t even have an autopilot, so it is all flown by hand and will be a real test of piloting skill, cockpit management and aviation safety.
A real flying adventure for both me and my youngest daughter who will be accompanying me as my navigator.
My route will be a long day in the air. I plan to fly,
Manchester Barton -> Elvington (Yorkshire Air Museum) -> East Kirkby (Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre) -> Duxford (Imperial war museum) -> Caernarfon (Air World Museum) and then back to Manchester Barton.
The total flight time without wind will be around 6 1/2 hours ~ 450nm in a EV-97 Eurostar microlight.
