***UPDATE*** 3rd July 2024
We are so happy that together we were able to meet this goal for Rasha Bahgdadi's family.
We want to thank all of you who donated and shared, with special thanks to Pearls Vintage and Deborah Young Astrology for hosting their own initiatives to donate towards this goal.
Let's continue to put pressure on the governments with calls and emails to officials, and we hope and pray that the borders open soon so this family can make it to safety in Egypt. Thank you, Jenn

Hi everyone!
We are so pleased that this campaign is now 70% of the way there.
We had a beautiful concert on Saturday night in support of this family. Your purchase of tickets for that, along with purchasing of the art prints, and the song, meant we were able to contribute over $5541.28 (Canadian dollars) this week. That is almost 10K since we began a few weeks ago.
Please continue to share and support in whatever way you can. It means the world to Rasha and her family.
Thank you so much,
Jenn
Please help us…
We are a family of 5 trapped by war in Gaza. We are desperately seeking your support to help us escape this warzone.
We are terrified for our lives. Many of our loved ones have been killed under the relentless airstrikes. Our home has been destroyed and we find ourselves in a harrowing cycle of displacement, trying to find safety in a place where there is none. There is no place of refuge in Gaza. Everywhere we go, the war chases and traps us.
(The photos above show our home before and during the war).
We want our children to be safe. We want our children to live. They are scared by the endless explosions and terror and death all around them. They, like all of us in Gaza, are hungry. Starvation and disease are claiming lives in the shadows of this war. As I said, death and injury and illness are everwhere and we are desperate for your help.
We are in Rafah now. Rafah is a town on the border of Gaza, next to Egypt. We fled to Rafah under instruction to evacuate here, but now Rafah too is under threat of invasion. Everyday, we do not know if we will survive to see the next. The safety of Egypt is but a stones throw away from us, yet we are trapped here. Our best hope is to cross the border; to leave the terror of this war and escape to Egypt. We wish this was easy and possible for us, but the reality is that this journed is fraught with risks and financial burdens they we simply cannot afford.
Tickets from Rafah to Egypt currently cost $5000 per adult, and $2500 per child. You can read more about the costs and logistics of this journey here.
So this is where we turn to you to ask you to help us. will you please help us to raise the funds to pay for this journey? Any contributions that you might make will provide us with hope that we may yet survive this war. Your support is nothing less than our lifeline.
We are forever grateful…
Rasha’s family
Please note:
Refunds will not be possible once funds have been distributed to Rasha’s family
In the event that, for whatever reason, it is not possible for Rasha and her family to cross the border, all funds raised will be used to support Rasha and her family rebuild their lives and home in Gaza.
In the event that the travel costs between Gaza and Egypt decrease, any excess will be used to support Rasha and her family with accommodation and basic living coats upon arrival in Egypt.
In the event of Rasha and her family members' deaths prior to distribution of funds, all donations will be refunded.
In the event of one or more of Rasha’s family surviving, all funds will be distributed to the survivors.
All funds raised will be distributed to Rasha and her family even if the target amount is not reached
In the event the target amount is exceeded, additional funds will also be distributed to Rasha and her family, with 20% of the excess being donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians - a UK based charity.
For Rasha and her family’s safety we have refrained from including full names
