We are doing a 42.5 mile walk/run to help raise money for The ETAT (Encouragement Through the Arts and Talking).

The ETAT was established in 2014 to assist isolated and lonely people (of any age group), by encouraging them to meet new people and stimulate new ideas through participation in the arts.

The ETAT is run by three staff members, all on a volunteer basis, every Tuesday and Thursday with the aim to get people out and about.

A range of people attend the ETAT from those 30 years of age through to 90+ years, some of whom have suffered from or continue to suffer from physical or mental health issues. The ETAT judge no one and aim to help whoever come to them. It is a free service that which helps a variety of people in the local community, assisting people to get jobs, providing assistance with substance abuse, creating new positive relationships, and encouraging everyone's unique attributes of creativity and talking.

The group runs off donations and the help of the volunteer staff. They provide an exercise group and days out for the people attending and money raised through this page would go to support this notion. We aim to raise a total of £500. This would keep the popular exercise group going for another three months.

The ETAT has a massive impact on the local community giving people the chance to have a better life, whether just a cup of tea or assisting people in regaining control of their life.
