100-Day Practice Challenge: Empowering Young Musicians in South Africa

We are fundraising to support Suzuki music students in South Africa, providing financial aid to children who cannot afford instruments, travel to concerts, and other participation costs. Every pound raised goes directly to the South Africa Suzuki Association, helping them build a strong musical future for their students.

The funds will ensure that talented children from disadvantaged backgrounds can continue their musical journey, covering the cost of instruments, lessons, and travel to concerts. Your donations will help build the Suzuki community in South Africa, enabling students to participate in enriching performances and workshops.

Join us in this 100-day practice challenge where students worldwide will commit to daily practice, raising money for this important cause.

By practicing daily, students in the UK, South Africa, and beyond will help make music education accessible to everyone. Support us by donating and cheering on these young musicians as they reach their practice milestones.

100-Day Practice Challenge: FAQ

Q1: What is the 100-Day Practice Challenge?
The 100-Day Practice Challenge is a global effort where students commit to practicing their instruments daily for 30, 60, or 100 days. The challenge is designed to boost practice consistency while raising funds to support Suzuki students in South Africa who need financial aid for instruments, travel, and participation in concerts.

Q2: How do I participate in the challenge?
It’s simple! Just commit to practicing for 30, 60, or 100 days—whatever suits you best. Track your daily practice using our downloadable PDF tracker, and ask family and friends to sponsor your practice efforts to raise funds for this great cause.

Q3: Do I have to do 100 days?
Not at all! You can choose to do 30 or 60 days if that works better for you. The most important part is to practice regularly and stay motivated. If you need to take a break, just pick up where you left off—there’s no pressure to finish on a specific date.

Q4: How can I raise funds?
You can ask family, friends, and your wider community to sponsor your practice journey. Donations can be made through our JustGiving page, and sponsors can either give a one-off donation or pledge a specific amount per day of practice you complete.

Q5: Where does the money go?
All funds raised will go directly to the South Africa Suzuki Association (SASA). These donations will help cover costs for disadvantaged children who need instruments, travel to concerts, and participation in workshops. Your support helps give these young musicians a brighter future through music education.

Q6: How do I track my practice?
We’ve made it easy! Download the 30-, 60-, or 100-day practice tracker PDF and tick off each day of practice. You can also share your progress on social media using the hashtag #100DayPracticeChallenge to motivate others and keep yourself accountable.

Q7: What happens if I miss a day?
No worries! You can simply pick up where you left off. The goal is to practice regularly and build a consistent habit, so don’t feel pressured if you miss a day here or there.

Q8: Can groups or families participate?
Absolutely! Families, friends, or student groups can join together to take on the challenge. You can motivate each other and even set up group fundraising efforts to make a bigger impact.

Q9: What do I get for completing the challenge?
Apart from the satisfaction of improving your playing and helping others, participants who complete 100 days will receive a special thank you gift—cannot tell you yet! But everyone who participates is a winner for supporting such a meaningful cause.

Q10: Where can I find updates and encouragement during the challenge?
We’ll be sharing regular updates, practice tips, and encouragement on social media, YouTube, and through emails. Make sure to follow along and stay connected with the community as we work together to reach our goals!

Q11: When does the challenge start?
The challenge kicks off on October 1st, but you can join at any point after that and still make a difference.

Q12: How do I donate or support a participant?
You can make a donation through the link above or sponsor someone who is taking part by pledging a donation for their daily practice.
