I've raised £2000 to help buy books for paediatric oncology patients and their families, across the UK.

Our daughter Emmie was diagnosed with a Malignant Rhabdoid Tumour in September 2019. MRT is an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer, which is difficult to treat and she was given a poor prognosis.
Emmie underwent 8 rounds of chemotherapy, a radical nephrectomy, stem cell harvest and aspiration, high dose chemotherapy, 8 days on a ventilator in PICU and a further 12 months of maintenance chemotherapy. However she is now in remission and loves singing, dancing, reading and playing with her big brother and baby sister.
'Emmie's Books' raises money to buy books for little warriors in hospitals across the UK - and their families. As teachers, we know the importance of escapism through books, as well as the importance of keeping our minds busy as an oncology parents.
