Iʼve raised £135 to help funding the purchase of stationery to send to a school in Africa.

Story
After hearing a story in assembly, Eleni asked me if, rather than having Christmas presents, she could have pencils to send to the children in school in Africa. She has big plans and wouls like to send as much as she can and is hoping that other people might like to donate some money for her to send some books too.

8 years agoEleni and I went shopping for her 'presents' yesterday and she managed to get a huge amount of different things to send to Tanzania. She has about 350 pencils and colouring pencils, rulers, reading books, note pads and a whole selection of different kids dictionaries and encyclopaedias. She is thrilled with what she has bought already and is going to use any money raised from your donations to buy more classroom books. She is very keen to send a set of Roald Dahl and Julia Donaldson. Thank you all for your generosity!

8 years agoThank you so much to everyone who has donated so generously so far. Eleni is really excited about all the things that she is going to be able to send to Tanzania. She is planning on buying some reading scheme books as well as all sorts of stationery.
