Iʼve raised £2,800 to David Teacher MBE. David is a D-Day veteran. We are taking him back to Normandy with a Bedford QL WW2 truck.

Story
David Teacher MBE.
David is a D-Day veteran.
We are taking him back to Normandy with a WW2 Bedford QL truck. David landed on Juno on D-Day in a Bedford QL.
We are adapting the truck so David can get in the passenger seat and then we intend to drive the truck along Juno beach. All of this costs money, lots of friends are helping but we are still sort on funds. We also intend to take David to Belgium as he is a Battle of the Bulge veteran and to the Netherlands as he also served.
David gives his time freely to charities, he was awarded the MBE for years and years of charity work. He's 93 years young and still volunteers at IWM North speaking to school parties about his war time service.
We think it's about time David got something back. So please give a little or as much as you can.
Lets get this veteran back to Normandy, Belgium, The Netherlands in style..

Huge thank you to everyone for giving, sharing letting others know. We are now deep in planning for Normandy. Keep an eye on David facebook page for updates, photo's and some video. Without you this trip would never be possible. Cheers

8 years agoThis fund is to get David and the Bedford QL truck to Normandy. We had wished to take David back to Belgium where he served in Battle of the Bulge. We have now lowered our target and put the trip to Belgium on hold.

My father was killed in action in July 1944 buried in ryes military cemetery near Arromanche pass on our thanks to David for his service to our country Terry Kilburn & Family
