Story
On the 5th July 2016 my husband Daniel took his own life. Daniel had suffered with mental health issues his entire life and despite his calm and happy exterior, inside he was crippled with anxiety and depression.
Daniel never felt there were any options for him, he felt he couldn't talk to anyone as no one would understand.
The DPJ foundation aims to break the stigma of mental health and support young men in our rural community. To talk to them, advise them and let them know they are not alone. We plan to spread the word about mental health and the importance of dealing with it head on, Any monies raised will go to support men in Pembrokeshire who suffer with mental health and also to take measures to prevent any tragedy like this happening to any other family.
Daniel was a patient and kind person who was a great support to many, he listened and supported those in need. One of his parting statements was that we were unable to help him however we should try save someone else... So that is what we plan to do. Many thanks in advance for your support.

9 years agoThank you everybody for your continued support, this has gone above and beyond anything I could ever have imagined. The fact that people are talking about mental health means so much to me. Talking is the key and we need to remove the stigma of talking about our issues. Xx thank you xx
