On Tuesday, July 18, 2017, storms struck the village of Coverack in south west Cornwall.

Intense rainfall hit the village early in the afternoon, and lasted for several hours, with up to an inch of rain falling in just 15 minutes at one point.

Amazingly, there are no reports of injuries from the area, but up to 50 properties have been hit by flood waters.

The people of this small picturesque village will need support in the coming days, weeks and months to put their lives back together.

We will liaise with local residents and support groups to ensure that every penny of the money we raise goes to those most in need of support.
