I am a fund raising committee member for Colony Park Football Club 2003's.

Later this year, in October, we are planning to take a squad of 18 boys to Amsterdam to train at PSV Eindhoven and to have the opportunity to play a match against a local opposition football team. We believe that this "once in a lifetime" trip will benefit every member of the squad in having the experience of travelling and playing football together in a completely new, unknown and exciting environment.

To cover the cost for the entire squad which includes ferry and accommodation we need to raise a total of £11,619. In the past two a half years since the trip's inception, we have accumulated the sum of £6,734 (as at 21st January 2017), over half of the funds necessary. In addition, we have at least four more fundraisers planned this year to help raise the balance. However, we do need some extra financial support from friends and supporters both inside and outside of the local community.

I am seeking your sponsorship/donations for this worthy cause, and in return I will be running the Garioch 10K on Sunday 26th March! For those of you who know me this is quite a challenge. The last time anyone can recall me running was for a bus in early February 1992..........! My daughter Eilidh is also running, and we have been training together since late December.

I realise that times remain hard, and January isn't the best month to be start trying to raise money but I would be hugely grateful for any contribution that you may be able to make, regardless of size.
