Hello my name is Claudia and i have a dream to study medicine to become a neurosurgeon however in order to be successful in applying for university i need to have relevant work experience and excel academically , trying to obtain work experience in medicine in the UK under 18 is extremely difficult and competitive so in order to ensure I can make my application relevant and successful I need have work experience in the medical profession. Gap medics is an organisation that arranges and supports its applicants through work experience by arranging work experience abroad in hospitals including medicine dentistry midwifery and nursing. I am trying to book my place on the Polish medicine program in Warsaw for one week however it is £1100 for one week , £290 registration fee , and i have to pay for insurance and return flights separately in order to do this i need to fund raise and rely on donations. My UCAS application for Oxford has to be completed by October 2017 however i do not turn 18 until October 2017 and by then i will already have had to send my personal statement off. I cannot get work experince in a hospital or Gp surgery until i am 18 so this is my only chance to gain work experience that i will be able to put on my personal statement. I come from a hard working class family and live in a two up two down terraced house and I hope to be the first in my family to go to university
