My good friend chloe has suffered with Vascular elhers danlos syndrome for all of her life not knowing what it was until diagnosed at 17, this causes not only massive amounts of pain daily but effects her every day life with the littlest of tasks sometimes being the hardest! Chloe has a young daughter who she supports every single day without showing any pain!! Some days she doesn’t want to get out of bed; yet she puts all her pain and suffering to one side to take care of her daughter who suffers with Autism, Aspergers and Sensory Processing Disorder. Recently chloe has been readmitted into hospital for more tests as she has become unable to walk herself unaided due to her nerves, we are trying to get her an electric wheel chair so she can carry on with her day to day life with her daughter, doing the simplest of tasks herself such as going to the toilet in privacy!! Think about all the small little tasks we all do daily that we take for granted such as walking to the kitchen to get a drink, or running up the stairs because weve forgotton something; even just popping round the corner to the shop with the kids to get some sweets! All these small tasks chloe is now going to struggle to do without the help of an electric wheelchair The nhs have said she will be waiting up to 2years plus and are now also refusing a wheelchair at all as she hasnt any permanent ramps! Chloe is now being told she has to move out of her family home and could end up anywhere!!
