    Story

Originally this page was set up to support the production of meals for NHS or emergency services staff as a way of supporting front-line workers dealing with the COVID-19 crisis.

The racecourse has since announced that it has had to close down the racecourse site and suspend production of meals with immediate effect.

All funds raised as a result of this Just Giving page will now go directly to The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

The Just Giving page set up by Chester Race Company to help support the production of meals for emergency front line workers was quickly re-purposed when it transpired the racecourse could no longer operate the production of meals from the racecourse site. The monies raised through your kind donations have gone direct to 'The Hospital Fund', a fund which has been set up to support staff across all areas of The Countess & Ellesmere Port Hospital during this very difficult time. Thank you all for your generosity and kindness.

It is with great regret that I announce that we have been forced to suspend food production in respect of the NHS and emergency workers free meal service. The funds raised to date via our Just Giving page, set up to support this initiative, will now go direct to The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. My deepest gratitude goes out all those dealing directly with the on-going crisis. What a lovely idea, all the NHS workers are heros and deserve all the help we can give them.
