In June 2016, at only 27, Charlotte had a severe stroke at home. She has already undergone an operation to reduce swelling on her brain.

UPDATE (18th July 2016) - Charlotte remains at Lister Hospital and has had some gruelling physio that wipes her out BUT she was able to stand at the beginning of last week and has managed a few steps since. She is now able to sit in an armchair, with support to her neck. She still cannot move the left side of her body, but her sharp wit and rumour is still there! She has no problems talking – well that was never a problem with Charlotte.
It was lovely to see the improvement in her, sitting in a chair, without being sick – apparently she puked four times the first time they sat her down as she had low blood pressure and had been so used to being in a bed. They believe she will be in Lister for the next three months before transferring to a rehab (so rock n roll) unit in Welwyn.
She remains very positive and talks about being back at work in the New Year – let’s all hope so.
I’m sure we’re all aware of the high daily parking costs at the hospitals, and all the financial burdens that then become associated with having to be in hospital for a long period of time.
With this in mind, I am doing a collection for Charlotte and her family to try and help them financially during this extremely difficult and worrying time.
