Story

Changes4reu, changes4you.
This journey will take us from Quinton Cemetery to the beautiful Shell Island in Wales on August 11, 2024.
The Walk for Change is more than just a physical challenge; it is a collective effort to raise awareness and funds for mental health, particularly in support of our chosen charity, "Mind." The route, is approximately 120 miles, will take us through diverse landscapes, from urban settings to the serene beauty of the Welsh countryside, to the breathtaking Shell Island.
Changes4reu is a cic setup in honor of Reuben Gayle to break the stigma and to raise awareness around Mental health to support young people and men on their journey. Our walk symbolises the journey many people take on their path to mental health recovery, a path often filled with challenges, hope, and resilience. Mental health issues often go unspoken and unrecognised.
Fundraise for "Mind": "Mind" is a charity dedicated to providing support and resources for those struggling with mental health issues. The funds raised from our walk will go directly to "Mind," helping them continue their vital work.
We are doing this walk in honor of Reuben Gayle
Honoring Reuben's Memory
This walk holds a special significance as we honor the memory of Reuben, a beloved member of our community who tragically lost his battle with mental health. Reuben was a kind soul, deeply loved by many. He had two loyal dogs, Lexi and Max, and together they often walked through the beautiful landscapes of Shell Island, a place that brought him peace and joy
Reuben was passionate about his landscaping business, where his creativity and hard work were admired by all who knew him. Despite his many strengths and the love that surrounded him, Reuben was let down by the mental health services that were supposed to support him. His passing is a crucial reminder of the critical need for better mental health care and support systems.
