Since 2012, Renowned Singer/Humanitarian Nikki Laoye & her Angel 4 Life Foundation provide free white guide canes to the visually impaired community in Nigeria. She has provided over 5,000 canes till date but more are still needed.

Guide canes are expensive and rarely available in Nigeria so every year, Nikki Laoye partners with the Association of the Blind Lagos to raise awareness and funds to buy guide canes and distribute them freely to visually impaired persons.

A White Guide cane allows the independent movement of a Blind/Visually impaired person across the streets, helps them to locate gutters, dangerous openings and also helps to alert drivers and passerbys of their presence for possible assistance when needed.

Due to the recent exchange rate increase, A cane presently costs 25,000 naira ( £12 | $15) and your kind donations would help to provide this much needed mobility aid to those who can't afford them.
