Story
Bromley Players are a local community theatre group who are putting on Shrek in April 2020 at the Bob Hope Theatre in Eltham.
Shrek is a fun, family musical with tap dancing rats, a talking Donkey and a huge Dragon puppet! During the run, on the 13th April at 2:30pm there will be a special relaxed performance. This performance is open to all but Bromley Players are particularly looking to welcome those with sensory communication disorders and learning disabilities.
This is the first time that a performance of this type has been put on at the Bob Hope Theatre and we hope that if it goes well then it will be repeated in the future, not only by Bromley Players but by other local groups.
Bromley Players would love to make this performance open to as many people as possible and would love to be able to offer carers complimentary tickets to attend. We are therefore asking those that are able to donate the cost of a seat or even part of the cost of the seat. All of the proceeds raised through this page will go towards carers tickets. If any excess money is raised then tickets will be offered to other performances for carers that do not need the relaxed performance environment.
There are a number of additional expenses involved in this initiative. 50 seats will remain unsold for the performance. This will allow room for audience members to move around if needed. £500 towards the cost of this has been raised by a charity collection organised by the “Local Vocals."
Please do donate to help make the arts accessible to all.
