Story
As most of you will already know Michael lost his fight with blood poisoning and sadly passed away whilst still in Bulgaria. Myself and my family would like to thank all of you who have donated already but would kindly ask for your continued support as these funds are still desperately needed to cover medical bills and the cost of repatriation. We are amazed and humbled by your generosity. We would also like to mention the Ferndale club and the Duke of Edinburgh who have held fundraising events. The Swiss Chalet are also planning an event with live music and stalls on the 27th / 28th August so please come along and support us.
If you can offer any help for this event please contact John Honeymoon at the Swiss Chalet.
My brother Michael Doyle has been taken seriously ill whilst on holiday in Bulgaria. He has contracted septicaemia of the intestine and is in intensive care and will be having his sixth operation on Friday with more to follow when he is back in the UK. His travel insurance will not cover medical repatriation which may cost £30,000. The family are devestated and would like him home as soon as possible.
Some good family friends, John Honeyman of the Swiss Chalet and Mark Thompson of the Duke of Edinburgh public houses have offered to put on some fundraising events to help.
Michael's condition is critical at the moment and his Dad is with him but we do not know how long he can stay there.
