Bob Frendt is a local hero of Knaresborough who has committed his time, efforts and money to provide Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine, specifically to the town of Volodymyr. He has delivered essential medical supplies on 7 occasions. Raising funds with the support of local and national businesses, generous donors and generous residents.

Volodymyr are in desperate need of a fire engine, due to all the fire engines going to the war efforts in wider Ukraine.

Knaresborough is hoping be twin with Volodymyr, as a way of showing our continued support and creating a long lasting relationship. This relationship has been fostered by Bob and the connection he has made with the town’s Mayor.

Chain Lane Community Hub want to support Bob in his continued support for this town by helping Bob to fundraise for further Humanitarian Aid to Volodymyr, with one of the intentions to purchase and transport a fire engine specifically for this town.

We can feel so helpless watching the news from Ukraine but this is a way we can really make a difference to these brave people in their time of need.
