Story
Four weeks ago we received the terrible news that Bjorn, the 2 year old son of Dutch snooker referee Keesjan Coenraad was diagnosed with cancer on his kidney. From that day onwards Bjorn is receiving treatment in the Princes Maxima Center for pediatric oncology in Utrecht. http://www.prinsesmaximacentrum.com His parents and sister are by his bedside 24/7.
In The Netherlands the organisation KiKa is there to raise funds for new research and other activities to help cure cancer with kids.https://www.kika.nl/organisatie-kika/doelstellingen-kika/
On the 18th of March, the snooker community in NL is organising a day to support the Coenraad family and to raise awareness, not only for this terrible disease but also the strain it puts on parents, families and friends.
The day is build around a fun snooker tournament. There will be a massive auction, snooker and sport memorabilia but also items from the music world. The goal is to raise as much money as we can. And all the money we raise will be donated to KiKa (KInderenKAnkervrij / ChildrenCancerfree).
We want to try and support KiKa so they can help those brave children and their families and offer them everything that they need to get through their horrible ordeal.
For all you people outside the Netherlands, this page is set up if you feel the same and want to donate.
Thank you!
