Following the huge success of our trip to Kew Gardens in 2016, on 12th July this year we are hoping to take c40 elderly, mobility challenged local residents to Eastbourne for a wonderful day out by the seaside.

These are residents who do not often get the chance to get out and about as they are in wheel chairs, use walking frames or have challenges in walking long distances unaided.

We are raising funds to pay for a mobility bus which can transport them in style and with dignity, as well as paying for a fish and chip lunch by the sea. If we get enough support, we may even be able to through an ice cream or afternoon tea in there as well.

Any money you can donate is very gratefully received.

The trip is being managed and coordinated by the Baker Street Quarter Partnership, the Business Improvement District in Marylebone, in conjunction with Penfold Community Hub, a local community centre for the over 50's. Volunteers to support the guests on the day will also come from local businesses linked to the Baker Street Quarter Partnership.

Professional carers will accompany the trip and all health and safety checks will be full complied with

If we manage to raise over our target funds, additional money raised may be diverted to help fund other Smarter Giving community projects in the local area
