#ForeverFoxy #SaveWillow #SilverFoxMuseum

Do you believe animals have souls? Then you might understand my dilemma!

Black Foxes UK is predominantly self-funded and I don't like asking for money, however, at times, needs must and this is a special case. I often wish I had asked at the first opportunity and feel guilty this girl is still seeking her final resting place, so there is nothing to lose by asking now!

This is Willow, a captive bred silver fox that went missing from her home during mating season of 2018. Sadly, after already suffering a collision that had caused leg injury previously, she was involved in a fatal RTA not long after, despite our attempts to recapture her... We were so close 🖤🐾

Due to such foxes being promoted as a rarity, the person that found her took her to be preserved by professional taxidermist, William Hales, who did a remarkable job. Sadly, they were unable to keep her and they requested if we could purchase her.

Unfortunately, she was out of our price range and our funds are used for living foxes in more urgent need, so we offered to assist with trying to find her a forever home. She was sold by her new owners before we got the chance and we are aware she has had several homes since her demise.

Willow is now up for sale again and we would like to give her a forever home, where her soul can rest in peace. The shop are seeking £975 for her. If we can finally save her, we will need your help to do so, any amount will help, we can't let her end up as a trophy in a hunting lodge.

For how often this fox has turned up in my life, even since her demise, I feel like she still wants us to save her 🦊🙏

Willow before her demise:

Willow would join mascots Loki and Zion, in educating about the plights of their kind in Black Foxes UK's mini "silver fox museum", helping us educate about exotic pets and the fur trade, without the use of live animals:

Our aim is to help them before they come to harm, sadly, it isn't always possible. That said, the foxes we help and educate about are usually very much alive! As Jasper, now living at Back Goat Centre, and Wilf and Kit, now living at Animal Farm Adventure Park, demonstrate:

If we do not reach our goal before Willow is sold (taxidermy does not sell quickly in many cases and the seller is aware of our interest, I am hoping we have time), the funds raised will be put towards our work at Black Foxes UK, promoting awareness and assisting silver foxes in need .
