Story
Cricket has been played in Broomfield for nearly 250 years, during that time we've always punched above our weight against larger clubs in and around the Chelmsford area. The secret to our longevity and success is youth cricket. Across two evenings a week, a small team of volunteers train U9s, 11s, 13s and 15s, nearly 80 young people in total. All age groups play home and away in local leagues and last season, for the first time in 12 years, our U15s won their division; the U11s are joining the party this year by becoming league champs themselves. This recent success has been achieved using barely adequate facilities so it is time to invest in our future and turn this:

New dual lane nets will enable our enthusiastic colts to train in all conditions and are vital to their and BCC's future. To help raise funds we'll be running a series of events, from hosting an Interfaith cricket match, bringing the local community together, to running special evenings over the winter such as quiz nights and bonfire bake offs. Please help support our young people so we can help them make the most of their talents:
