In lieu of flowers at my fathers funeral I have set up this page to raise funds for a place that my dad was really happy and comfortable during his treatment for cancer.

They always take the effort to get to know every patient, making what is a very difficult time that little bit easier.

Unfortunately this palliative care unit does not receive full funding for the incredible work they do, the community of Gateshead would be a worse place without this unit and fully deserves anything you can spare. Any financial help, no matter how small goes towards optimising quality of life and mitigating suffering to those who need it the most.
