Story

This page is to raise funds for a memorial, in memory of Alison Dawson.

Consultant of Diabetes and Endocrinology, Alison sadly passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in January 2023, at only 45 years of age. To commemorate her wonderful life and hard work she dedicated to Bradford Royal Infirmary, funds raised on this page will be put towards a memorial to be displayed within the hospital. Any funds remaining will be donated between the Upper Wharfedale Mountain Rescue and St Chads Church in her home town of Tushingham.

Alison loved being outdoors and spent her free time adventuring; she loved nothing more than running, cycling, skiing and mountain climbing. Therefore, some members of her team felt it fitting to run a half marathon in her memory – this will take place on Sunday 1st October.

Alison is missed greatly by all of her friends and colleagues on the Diabetes and Endocrinology Department, also throughout the whole of Bradford Teaching Hospital.

Please feel free to leave a message on this page. This could be a memory of Alison or a message of support and love - her family and colleagues would really appreciate it.
