We are halfway through a fundraising journey to reach a £5000 target, to fund my four week volunteering trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands in the Summer of 2018. We have managed to raise the first £2500 through my previous JustGiving page, kind donations from friends and family and a couple of fundraising events. There are lots more fundraising events planned over the next 14 months and you can keep up to date with these on my Facebook page "Abbie's Ecuador Fundraising." I have a little part time job and am saving all my wages so that I am able to contribute my own money towards this as well but the final £2500 is going to be the toughest part to raise and I would really appreciate any support you can give me by donating to this page.

During the four week expedition I will be volunteering on various projects - community based projects such as building a school, community centre or housing, improving sanitation and water supplies for local communities, reforestation projects and marine and wildlife conservation and protection projects, as well as engaging with the local communities.

This is such an amazing opportunity for me and really will be the trip of a lifetime. I cannot wait to help make a difference and think this will be a life changing experience for me.
