Story

l am seeking to raise money for three charities close to my heart during my 60th year by undertaking 6 sets of activities/events which show some of the deep interests which have spanned my 60 years.

The charities are:

Build it International: a charity which creates opportunities for young people and their communities in Zambia through skills training, work experience and essential community building.

United Christian Broadcasters: based in Stoke on Trent which share the gospel of Christ and give hope to many in need through the power of radio.

Inspire a Redditch based community charity offering a range of services to the community, including poverty support, crisis intervention, craft courses, wellbeing and holistic activities, family activities. They currently run a food bank, baby resource bank and domestic abuse support services.

I'd be grateful for any donation you can make which will be split 3 ways unless you specifically want it to go to just a particular one or two. Thank you so much for making a difference and supporting my "6 for 60" challenges

"6 for 60" Challenges summary

Triathlon and 10K runs, Way of the Roses Cross country Cycle, Malvern end to end and back and The Worcestershire Way, Bike and Bible Tour, The Cleveland Way, Excel training in a day

Challenge 1 Complete. The Way of The Roses 5th to 7th May

A wonderful 3 day tour completing the 170 miles form Morecambe to Bridlington. Superbly organised by Peaks Tours. 15 of us,wonderful hills, climbs, descents, rolling countryside, safe Sustrans routes. Great friends made. This is Phil my brother and law and me at the end

Challenge 2 Complete Southport Sprint Triathlon 21st May

This was a beautiful day at a really nice location and the 4th time I've done a tri in Southport (first 3 all Olympic distance) so nice for a change to do a sprint. Loads of athletes present as it was also the World Age group qualifiers

Considering the lack of really swim practise I was really pleased as to how the whole day went. One hour 25 minutes was respectful with a good run at the end

Here are some of the pictures

Certainly one of my favourite venues for a triathlon
