Story
We're taking part in the UK Three Peaks Challenge, which entails climbing the highest mountains in Wales, England and Scotland, all whilst on a time limit of 24 hours!
This is to help us fundraise to go to Uganda in the summer of 2023, in which we'll be spending 3 weeks in 3 different schools and communities. Whilst there, we'll be running lessons and holiday clubs and handing out much needed clothing and footwear to the pupils of the schools, going into the local communities to offer support and healthcare to the residents, including hanging mosquito nets in houses in an attempt to stave off malaria infections, and we'll also be taking part in building and upkeep jobs around the school site and local area.
Meet the team:
Hi, I’m Noah. I am hoping to have the opportunity to go to Uganda next summer. I’m excited about being able to see a whole new style of living and to learn about the completely different cultures and lifestyles they have there, whilst doing my best to help out and make a difference in any way I can. I hope to be able to achieve this by putting my skills in DIY, sport and music to good use! I also intend to apply to join the medical team, which is a small team that goes into the remote areas of the country for a week to provide medical care to as many people as possible, from treating simple illnesses and cuts to dealing with dental issues and more serious bodily injuries.
Hi, I’m Tim. I would love to have your support to go to Uganda in the summer of 2023 as I think it is an incredible opportunity to actively make a difference that will help me in later life as it provides perspective, and though there will be challenges I think it will change me for the better. I'm hoping to be able to put my practical skills I've learned from young leading at the local Sea Scouts to good use. I, like Noah, am also hoping to be apart of the medical team and I am looking forward to the challenges that that will bring as well as being able to really help the people in need.
Hi, I’m Alex, I am 18 years old and looking to go to Uganda in 2023 with Heswall Youth Fellowship (in association with Rock of Joy Trust). I believe this will be a fantastic experience not only for me to grow as a person in confidence and leadership skills but also to have a positive impact on the children in Uganda. Immersing ourselves in the local culture I hope I can make a difference to people’s lives through the multitude of activities and impactful projects we have lined up.
Hi, I’m Matt. I would love to go to Uganda in the summer of 2023 as I believe it will be a very life changing experience, not just for the people of the four schools and communities we will be visiting, but for me as well. I believe I will be able to use my skills of: leadership (due to being a young leader for years through the Scouting association), music, sport and many others to help benefit them. I am very excited for the prospect of meeting lots of new people and being able to have an impact on their lives in a positive way through the many activities that we will be running!

2 years ago1/2 Well we've all had a day of rest but I can confirm we successfully completed the challenge! Some statistics for you all: Total time taken: 23 hours and 26 minutes Total distance walked: 36.68km Total height climbed: 2,971m (1/3 Everest) Total distance driven: 1,037 miles Despite us lot being the face of the challenge, there's no way we'd have been able to do it without our incredible support team driving us up and down the country, preparing our food, getting us water and encouraging us the whole way; they've been immense and we're so
