Story
Following General Steam Navigations successful boiler lift and separation of the trailing truck from the frames, the General Steam Navigation Locomotive Restoration Society is now seeking funds to help overhaul the front bogie and trailing truck wheelsets.
The work is to be contracted out to a proffessional engineering firm and it's estimated that the trailing truck axle will be sent out to the winning bidder in late 2020. This is where we need your help we are fundraising to help cover as much as the cost as possible with the target being set at £3,500.

4 years agoWork has begun cleaning up the trailing truck. With several decades worth of grime to clean off its not a pleasant job but once its completed we'll be able to switch our attentions to preparing the axle to be released from the main body of the trailing truck. Whilst the trailing truck is not being work on its covered by a tarp to keep it dry and protected from the elements
