Three years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease which came as a complete shock to my system. Although it progressively takes it toll, I am confident that a cure will be found one day. The secret is to surround yourself with people who understand the challenges that present themselves to you, and this is where my local Parkinson's Support Group is invaluable. Coupled with the support that I get at home, in particular from Corinne, my wife, and the other members of my family, it makes it much more manageable and I couldn't do it without them. The money raised from this 24 hour tennis marathon will go towards ensuring the long term security of this vital support group.
