Story
Overview: Norfolk Hoopstars Foundation (NHF) has been created to ensure that barriers to participate in basketball are reduced, allowing anyone and everyone to be able to play in all activities that Hoopstars provide, from camp places, All Girls sessions, all of our brilliant community hub sessions, National League performance teams, to our Hoopz SEND sessions and our wheelchair basketball session Wheelz.
Event: On the 20th July at 10am we will begin playing basketball for 24-hours showcasing all of our fantastic sessions and raising money towards the NHF. All funds or donations made towards Hoops Around The Clock will go directly to the NHF.
What does the Norfolk Hoopstars Foundation do? The Norfolk Hoopstars Foundation (NHF) is not just a foundation; it stands as a resolute commitment to fostering inclusivity, breaking financial barriers, and effecting positive transformations in lives through the incredible medium of basketball.
Foundation Objectives:
• Provide free spaces across a spectrum of our basketball programmes, including our community hubs, All Girls sessions, engaging holiday camps, inclusive programmes like Hoopz, Wheelz, HBL (Hoopstars Basketball League) and our dynamic performance programme.
• Eliminate financial constraints, ensuring everyone has a chance to play regardless of circumstances and can actively participate and benefit from the transformative power of basketball.
• We are committed to reaching a diverse range of eligible individuals, encompassing not only those receiving free school meals, refugees, and families facing financial challenges but also extending our support to marginalised communities, individuals with disabilities, and those who may be experiencing social or economic hardships.
• Collaborate with individuals, access HAF Funding, and offer complimentary spaces to those in need.
