Evan aims to realise his dream at the World Scouting Jamboree in America. From the Valleys to Virginia! Evan has been involved in a range of activities through the scouting movement taking part in different challenges, learning new skills such as shooting and archery but also leadership skills.

Evan also volunteers outside of the Scouts at his local church in Pentre and also plays rugby for Treorchy Zebras and is also undertaking his GCSE’s at St. John the Baptist Church in Wales school, having already passed 5 GCSE’s a year early.

The 1st Pontygwaith Scouts are also supporting Evan on his adventure which is over 3500 miles away. John Webber – Scout Leader commented “Evan is committed in developing himself and others through the scouting movement and as Scouts, we already know that Scouting develops individuals who are active, resilient and extraordinarily equipped with skills for life. Evan epitomises these skills and qualities and we will do everything possible to support him on his journey. We have set up this fundraising page to support Evan, and any donation, however small, will be much appreciated and get him a step closer to realising his dream.”
