I've raised £5000 to I am raising money for Greenhall Special School where my daughter currently attends.

My name is John and my daughters name is Emmie. In 2023 we covered 889 miles together and this year we will continue but with the aim to raise money for various charities.
The moment I held my daughter I knew I would do anything to give her the life she deserves. Early on we noticed that she did not meet her milestones on time and this became more obvious as time went on. We are still on our journey to find out a diagnosis for Emmie. As yet we have no answers but what we do know is that Emmie is a loving and happy little girl who loves the outdoors. However, as she cannot walk I got us a jogging buggy and she loved it. It’s now the highlight of Emmie’s, myself and my dog, Buddy’s day to run in all weathers and terrains.
It can be hard sometimes and we are worried about her what her future will be like. However, we have been supported massively by a number of organisations along the way. One of which has been greenhalls school. Since Emmie has started there she has come on so much. The staff are highly trained and so caring. They love the children who attend and it’s clear the children love them. They have specialist equipment and sensory rooms to support 2-5 year olds who have special educational needs. It’s much more than a school. It’s a community where Emmie and I have felt welcome.
So this year, Emmie and I will be running in as many races as possible and our first big run will be the Stafford half marathon. We will be raising money for Greenhall school so any donations will be greatly appreciated.
If you see one man and a baby running around the town with a little dog then give us a beep or a wave!
