RISE stands for Refuge, Information, Support and Education.

RISE is a feminist, women-led and centred domestic violence and abuse charity that has worked for 27 years to end all forms of violence and abuse against women, their families and those identifying as LGBT+.

RISE offers strength-based, trauma-informed services and is committed to providing accessible, fair, and safe services to survivors of violence and abuse, including women of all ages, children, young people, Trans and Non-binary people, Lesbians and Bisexual women, Gay and Bisexual men, Black and minoritised women, women with religious affiliations or none, Disabled women and other minoritised women.

We are RISE (Refuge, Information, Support and Education), a domestic abuse charity based in Brighton and Hove.

1BTN is a not-for-profit radio station and music platform and since our first broadcast in 2015 we have delivered a diverse, eclectic and specialist programme of music 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are run exclusively by volunteers and our DJ roster includes many incredible presenters from the local community, plus an ever-expanding list of well-known and established guests from further afield. With our like-minded, passionate music lovers in mind, we have continued to break new ground in our quest to provide top quality radio for our listeners.
