Story

I am going to walk a million steps by April 2025 for my mitzvah (good deed) project for my upcoming Batmitzvah. I have chosen to raise money for my Scout group 16th Edgware. This means so much to me because they have challenged me to try new things like camping away from home, high ropes courses, long hikes and learning how to light a fire.

These opportunities have also helped me build long lasting friendships.

My Scout group never excludes anyone from joining in for financial reasons and always has the best activities and I’d greatly appreciate your support.

About my Batmitzvah

When you turn 13 in the Jewish religion you get the chance to have a bar/bat mitzvah. This is a chance to grow up in the community and is really important to me.

I am now half way through my own Batmitzvah journey and part of this includes planning a Mitzvah “a good deed” project.

Scouts

I have chosen to raise money for my Scout group 16th Edgware. It has challenged me to have new experiences. Scouting is a huge part of mine and my families life. My brother was a Beaver and now is a Cub. My dad was a Cub.

My Grandpa was a Queen’s Scout and my uncles were cubs and scouts.

My Grandad was a Scout and his dad was a King‘s Scout.

16th Edgware

16th Edgware is so special because when I first started Scouts all of the leaders were so welcoming and reassuring. They always have the best activities and resources.

They have always supported and encouraged me to succeed.

I want to support them by raising money for:

*£35 would allow us to replace some of our old equipment that needs updating

*£50 would help towards funding a Scout whose family may have financial difficulties for 1 day of Spring Camp

*£75 would help to replace some very old kitchen equipment for camps

*£100 would help towards a new tent for Scouts to sleep in at camp

*£150 would fund a Scout whose family may have financial difficulties, to come to Winter Camp.

Please support me in my journey and help 16th Edgware stay amazing and special for future kids and young leaders.
