Story

We are taking on the challenge to walk/run 1220 miles in August to raise money for Crohn's and Colitis UK and the Trinity Hospice Blackpool, in memory of our amazing friend, Tom 'TC' Clarke, who we sadly lost earlier this year.

In November last year, TC was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer, despite the best medical efforts he sadly passed away in April this year. TC had lived with Crohn's disease which impacted on his treatment options. A charitable foundation is being set up set up in his name but in the interim all the money that we are able to raise will be split between two causes close to his heart, Crohn's & Colitis UK, and the Trinity Hospice in Blackpool (who helped with his care at home in his final days).

We decided to do this challenge in August as this is the month that TC would have turned 30 and this seemed a fitting time to continue his legacy. We are walking/running 1220 miles as we lived in house number 122 Grizedale Collage whilst at Lancaster University. It was important to TC that we all continued our friendship group and so doing a challenge together, no matter where we are in the world (the UK, Australia and Norway) we can all take part, remember our dear friend and raise money for amazing causes.

TC brought so much joy to every person that met him, he really was one of the best always putting others before himself.

If you are able to donate, no matter how small, this would mean so much to us and his family. All the money raised will go to great causes. Thank you.
