I've raised £4000 to Support two fantastic charities! The first supports teachers' mental health & the second gifts magic memories to disadvantaged families.

Hi Everyone. Thanks for stopping by and checking out our mad plans!
It's Raza and Baasit Siddiqui here.....you may know us from Channel 4's Gogglebox. We are part of the Siddiqui family and have enjoyed a surreal ten years on TV.
We're getting off the sofa for a week in May and have decided to challenge ourselves by running 100 miles each in one week, with the hope of raising money for two amazing charities. We would love your support with a small donation, by spreading the word and by following our story on our Instagram @thesiddiquis :)
It was so hard to choose the charity to support, so we have picked the two charities below & all monies raised will be split equally between them.
Find out more about the amazing work 'Me and Dee' and 'Education Support' are doing below and our motivations for supporting these worthy causes.
This wonderful charity was set up in 2006 and has supported families in Derbyshire during their most challenging times. As Derby locals, who love our City, this inspirational charity felt like the perfect one to support. Me & Dees mission is simple - to ensure families going through difficult and uncertain times are gifted with memories they can treasure & never losing sight of what truly matters because it’s those special moments shared with the ones we love, no matter how complicated circumstances may be, that are most precious of all.
We can’t change the difficult times. But together, we can help families going through life-changing circumstances to laugh and smile when they need it most, making sure it’s the special times that will always be remembered.
Hi! Baasit here, I have worked in education for over fifteen years and this charity is close to my heart. Teachers across the country are struggling with reduced budgets and increased demands. Anyone who follows the news in Education will know about the tragic suicide of headteacher Ruth Perry. The news of a headteacher pushed to breaking point, where she felt there was no other option, struck me and the education community massively. I wanted to do something to raise awareness and support for those teachers out there who are struggling. Education Support is there to help and does make a positive impact. Education support is on a mission to improve the mental health and well-being of teachers and education staff. They believe that better mental health leads to better education. They offer a support helpline, grants and many other services to support teachers.
Established by teachers for teachers, we have been supporting teachers and education staff for 146 years!
Thank you for reading our story and our plans to support these two different but important charities. We would love your support by raising money and awareness and maybe even joining us for a few virtual runs from 29th of May to 4th of June .
Be sure to tag our Instagrams @thesiddiquis and @baasit_siddiqui and share how you've supported the #100MileWeek.
Thank you so much
Raza and Baasit Siddiqui xx
