Birmingham Half Marathon 2010 · 24 October 2010 ·
************An update to all the people who have sponsored us, Matilda is 9 weeks old today. She has just reached 2lbs in weight. It feels like the unit performs miracles in helping her so please think about donating, however little and it may just keep a baby going strong.*****
I have decided to run this years Birmingham Half marathon after seeing the work that is carried out in the neo-natal unit at Birmingham womens hospital. To cut a harrowing story short, my little daughter Matilda is currently in the neo natal unit, 10 days old as I type and i feel she would not have had a chance in life if it was not for the amazing work the staff do on a day to day basis. I would never have had cause to see this first hand and probably wish that was still the case however it is the most eye opening experience I have ever come across. Please if only a few pounds it will all add up and if it only saves one babies life this will be worth it. Thank you.
Please sponsor me and help make this new neo natal unit they are building the best place to save babies lives.
