Aiming higher have a special place in mine and my families heart.

We have 3 children 2 of which have special needs, the info and help we've personally received from this charity have been amazing! It's good to meet up with other parents/guardians going through similar things and inspire and help each other. They go above and beyond, their heart for the community is something else, their passion for inclusion regardless of your ability or disability is outstanding! 

This is why im training to run "the lap" in windermere. It's a 75k Ultra marathon challenge which incorporates quite a few mountains. The challenge is a timed one with 24 hours to complete the lap. It's starts on Saturday 13th May 2023 and finishes 14th May 2023 but I'm hoping to be wrapped up the same day. I will be posting training updates and keep you in the loop of what I'm up to, please pray for an injury free time with my training and the actual event too.

Aiming Higher support the families of children and young people with additional needs. Without doubt these children can bring immense pleasure. However due to the complexity of some of our children’s conditions, families find it difficult to access activities. Families experience many barriers and can become isolated and suffer further hardship.We support these families hosting family events at suitable locations, subsidising the cost of activities and providing stay and play groups and counselling sessions at our Blackpool base.
